Few days after the LEGOLAND Dubai resort opening, the Danish company and Majid Al Futtaim revealed February 1st 2022 a new LEGO Certified Store at The Dubai Mall. A LEGO Certified Store is a point of sale owned and operated by a LEGO group partner.
The main concept of this store is the retailtainment: in addition to the classical product presentations, you can enjoy a full digital and physical experience.
The store
- When entering the store you will find a very large luminous Burj Khalifa built with the famous bricks
- The following product ranges and themes are available for sale: Architecture, Speed Champions, Friends, Creator, Technic, Star Wars, Super Mario, City
- You will also find a ‘Pick & Build‘ wall where elements and components are regularly changed and different from a LEGO store to another
- Moreover, there is a large screen which virtually reproduces your facial expressions through a LEGO character you can select (not easy wearing a face mask 😁)
The ‘Minifigure Factory’ experience
- It is the first experience of this type in the region
- It allows customers to personalise their own LEGO figure to get a store souvenir or offer an original gift
- To complete your customisation, there are 4 steps you need to achieve using the different ‘Minifigure Factory’ booths:
- Purchase, to buy your ‘Minifigure Factory’ pack at a cash desk
- Personalise, to scan your pack and start designing your figure on the dedicated screen
- Accessorise, to add the figure components and accessories during your customisation printing
- Collect, to retrieve your printed figure
