Why the new Dubai Carrefour BIO store is not just an organic food concept

After recently opened innovative lifestyle and grocery stores like the ‘Store of the Future’ or Carrefour City+, Majid Al Futtaim revealed few days ago a new Carrefour BIO concept at City Centre Me’aisem.

In addition to the organic offer, the point of sale is a real sustainable model where everything has been thought to have a better impact on the planet while remaining a living space.

An eco-conscious offer

  • The store is offering a variety of 3,000 organic food, beverage, personal and home care references including some from local producers, artisans and certified farms

  • Carrefour BIO is also selling product ranges adapted to specific diets and with a reduced carbon footprint (keto, gluten-free, vegan, plant-based…)
  • The retailer is going further by proposing ultra-local plants (salads, aromatics herbs…) which are grown inside the store thanks to an hydroponic farm

  • The brand also implemented a coffee shop to enjoy 70% organic menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner

Zero waste and energy saving goal
